Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about tracking certifications with CertLedge. Can't find your answer? Contact us.

What certifications can I track?
Any certification with an expiry date: OSHA 10/30 cards, CPR/AED, First Aid, food handler permits, forklift operator licenses, hazmat endorsements, electrical and plumbing licenses, driver's licenses, and anything else your team holds. Cert names are free-form, with autocomplete for the most common ones.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, every record is isolated to your company at the database level, and uploaded files are stored privately and served only via expiring signed links. Our infrastructure providers are SOC 2 (Supabase) and PCI Level 1 (Stripe) compliant. See our Security page for details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel in two clicks from the billing portal in Settings. You keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. No refunds are issued for the current period.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can reactivate without losing anything. After 90 days it is permanently deleted. You can export everything as CSV before you go, or delete your account immediately from Settings.
How do expiry alerts work?
Every day, CertLedge checks your certifications and emails you when one is exactly 90, 30, or 7 days from expiring. Each window can be toggled on or off, alerts can go to a manager email of your choice, and you can optionally CC the employee.
Can employees upload their own certifications?
Today, account owners upload certifications on each employee's record (PDF, JPG, or PNG up to 10MB). Employee self-upload links are on our roadmap — contact us if this matters for your team and we'll prioritize accordingly.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — every account starts with a 14-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card required to sign up.
What industries is CertLedge built for?
Small businesses with licensed or certified workers: construction, HVAC and trades, restaurants and food service, childcare, and healthcare. If your team holds cards that expire, CertLedge fits.
Is CertLedge OSHA compliant?
CertLedge helps you organize and stay ahead of certification expirations, which supports your OSHA recordkeeping — but it is not a substitute for legal compliance advice and does not guarantee regulatory compliance. Consult a qualified compliance professional for your specific obligations.
How do I export my data for an inspection?
Open Export in the app and click "Generate compliance report" — you'll get a dated, signature-ready PDF listing every employee, their certifications, and current statuses. A full CSV export of your raw data is also available in Settings.
