Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using CertLedge, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service. CertLedge is operated by [COMPANY NAME].

2. Description of service

CertLedge is a software service for recording employee certifications, receiving expiry reminders, and exporting compliance reports. We may improve or modify features over time, and will not materially reduce the core functionality of your plan during a paid term.

3. User accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. Notify us promptly at [CONTACT EMAIL] of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and billing

CertLedge is sold as a monthly subscription with a 14-day free trial. Paid plans are billed in advance each month through Stripe at the rate of the plan you select. Plan limits (such as the number of employees) are described on the pricing page. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation stops future charges; no refunds are issued for the current billing period, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. After cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted.

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Store data you do not have the legal right to process
  • Attempt to access another customer's data or probe our security
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written consent
  • Use the service to send spam or unlawful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the service

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY NAME] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Regulatory disclaimer

CertLedge helps organize compliance records but is not a substitute for legal compliance advice and does not guarantee regulatory compliance. You remain solely responsible for meeting OSHA and any other regulatory requirements that apply to your business. Consult a qualified compliance professional for legal advice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which [COMPANY NAME] is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL].
